CHRISTUS Spohn Health System selected Alter+Care to develop Wellspring Center, a 70,000 SF medical office building at its CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi -- South campus in Corpus Christi, TX. As an integral element of CHRISTUS Spohn's strategic objective for the next century, the medical office building helps fulfill the systems vision to be a nationally recognized healthcare provider in a fast-growing region.

The plan is intended to stimulate the region's healthcare industry by recruiting new physicians so CHRISTUS Spohn can expand services for a fast-growing and aging population fueled by baby boomers retiring to warmer climates.

Wellspring Center aggressively competes with existing practice locations through its design, connectivity to the hospital and convenience for physicians and patients. The three-story structure, which is attracting unaffiliated and newly affiliated physicians, has large floors and off-set corridors ideal to house larger practices efficiently. Designed to meet physician-specific needs, Wellspring Center lets CHRISTUS Spohn -- South integrate physician and ambulatory-care services with new technologies that generate efficiencies and conveniences in a setting with full access to hospital services and amenities.
