Primary Responsibilities
As Vice President of Alter+Care, an affiliate of The Alter Group, Jeff Newkirk is responsible for new-business development, wellness center development and other strategic objectives for the firm's national markets.
Background
Mr. Newkirk's brings nearly 20 years of strong healthcare and related academic experience to Alter+Care. Prior to joining Alter+Care, Mr. Newkirk served in positions of increasing responsibility for providers such as Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center, Condell Medical Center, Northwest Community Healthcare, the Health Fitness Corporation and the University of Northern Colorado Health Services Center.

As Vice President of Operations at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center, Mr. Newkirk oversaw outpatient and ancillary departments within the nonprofit community hospital, including more than 270 FTEs and $70 million in net revenues.

Mr. Newkirk has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Valparaiso University; a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Iowa; and a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Northern Colorado.

His professional involvement includes membership in the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development. Additionally, Mr. Newkirk has written several industry-related academic papers, articles and presentations.

Project Experience
Mr. Newkirk's initial effort on behalf of Alter+Care includes the Premier Health Center, a 50,000 SF multi-purpose healthcare facility in Huber Heights, OH.
