Clarke American Checks, Inc., needed a new office/production/distribution facility to better serve its growing Midwestern customer base.  After an intensive site-selection process that focused on Illinois, Iowa, Missouri and Kansas, Clarke American chose this central Iowa location approximately 10 miles north of Des Moines for its proximity to a well-educated employee base and the financial incentives offered.  The single-story building includes a 15,000 SF office and a 30,000 SF production/warehouse area with 22' clear ceiling height.

Maytag Corporation turned to The Alter Group to explore disposition alternatives for a surplus manufacturing facility at its Newton, IA, corporate headquarters. Because the building was larger than DMACC needed, Maytag planned to develop the remaining portion as a corporate conference and training center for its private use.
